It’s been a stellar year so far for Forever on the Awards front with 16 wins in 2021 alone, including a prestigious Woman & Home Award for the Smoothing Exfoliator winning the Best Daily Exfoliator category. In this blog we’ll cover the wins and some details about the individual Awards so that you can talk knowledgeably about the significance of Award-winning products to your customers.
People can be reluctant to try products that they haven’t heard of and can be particularly brand loyal when it comes to skincare often using products that they have grown up with (what mum used perhaps?). Having an award win generates interest, it makes products stand out and it’s a conversation starter.
In Robert Cialdini’s book ‘Influence, the psychology of persuasion’, he describes the 6 principles that influence behaviour; Reciprocation, Commitment & Consistency, Social Proof, Authority, Liking and Scarcity. Winning product or business awards fits into the categories of social proof and authority. As individuals we are influenced by independent third-party endorsements; they build credibility and trust in the brand and its products.
How can we use Awards?
- Press coverage and social media posts about Awards successes raises the profile of both the product and the brand. We are able to use Award winning logos on the websites and other marketing communications
- Award winning products get more attention from journalists doing product features, gift guides, reviews and round-ups
- These independent endorsements of products encourage people to try the products, they build trust and credibility about the efficacy and quality of the products and the brand.
- Winning Awards is a powerful endorsement and gives business owners the confidence and reassurance that they are selling products they can be proud of.
- Awards are just one PR tool to support Forever in raising its profile both about the products and the business opportunity.
The Pure Beauty Awards
Our latest award is for Forever’s Aloe Liquid Soap which received a Highly Commended in the recent Pure Beauty Awards 2021 held in London. It’s the third award of the year for the Liquid Soap since its launch earlier in the year, no small achievement. The Soap also received Gold wins in the Global Makeup Awards (Best Liquid Soap) see listing here and the Global Green Beauty Awards 2021 listed here
The Pure Beauty Awards are in their 20th year; over 600 products were entered across 39 categories. Brands included Charlotte Tilbury, Molton Brown, Palmers, Dr Paw Paw and Burt’s Bees and skincare specialists including Murad and Gatineau.
The shortlisted products are open to public vote with the judges making the final decision.
Two other Forever products were shortlisted in this year’s awards; the Hydrating Serum which won Silver in last year’s Awards in the Best New Premium Anti-ageing Skincare category and the new Aloe Jojoba Shampoo shortlisted in the Best New Hair Product category.
Forever has been involved with these Awards since 2017 and has picked up a recognition of some kind every year for the past 5 years.
Woman & Home Beauty Awards 2021
Forever Smoothing Exfoliator – Winner of Best Daily Exfoliator category
Entries were judged by leading experts in the beauty industry - from top make-up artists to dermatologists as well as the Woman & Home beauty team. With 52 categories including make-up, fragrance and complexion, the panel slathered, sniffed and sprayed to find 100 best buys for the Woman & Home reader.
Emma North of Woman & Home’s Beauty team described Forever’s Smoothing Exfoliator, ‘A brilliant basic exfoliator. Gently buffs off dead cells to leave skin smooth and soft.’

Beauty Bible Awards
The Aloe Bio Cellulose Mask received a Silver Awards in this year’s Beauty Bible Awards in the Best Sheet Face Mask category.
It’s the 25th year of trialling real products on real women. Since they began in 1996 31,000 + women have taken part in trialling products as part of these Awards. Each product is trialled by 10 women, usually over a period of time
This year’s Awards involved 1,380 testers; it took 14 months from the start of the Awards process to deciding the winners.
‘Even my eyelids enjoyed the mask; they're usually left out!’
‘It's a lovely, refreshing and skin calming mask. A great way to kick start a new skin routine or the week’
‘Refreshing, calming and (possibly) rejuvenating. The cooling continued after the mask was removed and felt lovely’
‘Skin hydrated and brighter on removing; I allowed excess to dry on my complexion and afterwards my face felt smooth, moisturised and was not so-tired looking’
‘Felt more luxurious, like a spa treatment. Dewy complexion following use’
‘This would be a good mask to use on a girly night in a home spa night’
‘The next day someone asked me if I had been on holiday as my face was radiant and relaxed’
‘I love the fact that this mask is organic, vegan and actually compostable! A tip I found on a website was that I used the remaining serum from the mask in the pack on my neck and hands so not to waste it! What’s more, no reactions or sensitivity.’
The Beauty Shortlist
Now in their 12th year these awards champion the best in ethical, global and organic beauty. Forever’s Gentlemen’s Pride Aloe Shave and the Infinite by Forever skincare system were both picked as Editor’s Choices in the 2018 Awards. Over 600 brands entered and products were tested over a 6 month period. The awards are completely independent and all products that achieve recognition are tried, tested, loved and recommended by judging panels in London/UK, New York and Sydney.
“The Beauty Shortlist’s beauty and wellbeing awards serve an important purpose: to showcase excellence, honour ethical brands, promote a more organic, waste-free way of living and provide a 100% trusted, expert-ranked guide to the very best in beauty and health in a crowded, often over-hyped marketplace”
