How to host an Online Product Launch

It has been a strange couple of months. Working from home has become the ‘new normal’ for many of us, and we have had to find new and innovative ways of continuing to run our businesses online.

Today’s digital world allows us to be more connected than ever, and making new connections or developing your team doesn’t have to be in person – you can grow your business, create leads, and convert them into customers and team members right from the comfort of your own home.

And although lockdown is now beginning to lift, embracing change and developing your online offering is a fantastic and time effective way of growing your business. Online Product Launches are a very effective way of sharing the products, and engaging with new audiences.

We have listed some handy tips on how to host a successful Online Product Launch to help you get started.

Who to invite

Everyone. Every registered person is a new contact in your database. Your Who Do You Know list is your database, so asking everybody from your friends and neighbours, to your warm list and people you have spoken to about the business before, is a great way of building a solid starting point for your business. Create an online community and provide interesting information that people can engage with. By registering, people are demonstrating an interest in what you are offering – they become qualified leads, making it easier to nurture and convert them. And remember not to neglect people who you have already invited to a product launch before, or who you think may have seen the products already: Online Product Launch webinars offer a different experience to the more traditional ones.

How to invite them

An Online Product Launch could be for just one person or for fifty, so make sure to schedule a time that you think will be most appropriate for your audience. Once you have decided on your time and date, make sure to use a range of methods to tell people about your webinar. Social media, emails, calls, texts and messages are all good ways of communicating – be sure to be natural in your conversation and remember to still sound like you.

Engage your audience

A couple of days before your event, send the link of the webinar to your audience – here at Forever, we use Zoom for all of our webinars, but you may find a different platform more effective for you requirements and for your audience – with a short personal message, saying that you are excited to share your favourite products. On the day of the webinar, you could send the link again as a reminder.

Event Preparation

Planning is crucial if you want to construct an Online Product Launch that’s engaging from start to finish. Think about what the purpose of your webinar will be. Is it to generate leads, grow your list or sell a product? Then, decide on the topic: what is the most important knowledge you can share with people in an hour or so, and make sure to utilise your Product Launch cards. We have loads of handy tools to help you here.

Prep the tech and environment

Before you run a webinar, make sure you have a camera (a laptop camera is good enough) and a working microphone with the settings adjusted to the environment you’re in. Make sure you have all of the products that you are going to be using on hand, and they are all clean and open, ready for use.

The Launch

Once you have fully prepared, you are ready to conduct your Online Product launch. Make sure to welcome your audience to the Product Launch, and introduce yourself if appropriate. Explain the agenda for the evening, and that there will be opportunities for questions and discussion. Working through products in groups can be an effective way of introducing them. Why not have a section on Personal Care, and include products such as: Aloe Hand Soap, Aloe-Jojoba Shampoo, Aloe-Jojoba Conditioning RinseForever Bright Toothgel and Aloe Ever-Shield Deodorant? Or what about a Hand Health group, with products such as Aloe Hand Soap, Aloe Propolis Crème and Aloe Moisturizing Lotion? You could also focus on skincare, providing information about the Sonya Daily Skincare Kit or the Infinite by Forever Advanced Skincare System, or you could simply dedicate your launch to the drinking gels, and focus on the benefits of each gel.

Once you have finished your launch, remember to ask if anyone has any questions, whether they be about the products that have been focused on, or about the business opportunity. Remember to explain the ordering process, as well as reminding them about our sixty-day money back guarantee.

Follow up

Now that the webinar is over, it is a very good idea to follow up on it. If you were recording the webinar, make sure to send the recording to people who have registered, but couldn’t attend. Recording your webinars can be a very effective business tool, as they will serve you with valuable content you can share with your audience later. If the attendees didn’t make a purchase, it doesn’t disqualify them from being valuable leads. They may need more information, so following up is key to keeping these people engaged with your business and products.

Online Product Launches are a great way to establish you as an expert, a trustworthy and reliable source of information in your field. They allow you to share your expertise with your target market, and you can personally provide solutions to their problems, which can clear their doubts over your products.
