“Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers.” – Harry S. Tuman.
Whether you’ve been tuning into Brunch with Bob Parker or not (if not, why not? You’re missing all the fun! Catch up here), you’re invited to join us in Bob’s Book Club!
It’s a well-known fact that the greatest leaders in the world are avid readers. Why? Reading gives us knowledge which can help us to make better informed decisions, and it helps us to build on the experiences others have had and avoid their mistakes. Bob Parker, our Country Manager for the UK, Ireland and Iceland, is himself a big reader, and firmly believes that if you’re planning to be a leader in your field, you need to be well read. That’s why we’re starting Bob’s Book Club.
Book clubs can be a great way to get recommendations for reading, and know that the community you’re involved in is reading the same material you are. You can even discuss your thoughts together to encourage critical thinking and bounce ideas off one another. Each month on our Brunch with Bob Parker show, Bob will make a recommendation and read out some of your own thoughts about the books so that we can all be inspired together!
This month we’re starting with one of Bob’s favourite books ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill, a personal development and self-improvement book all about developing the skills and mindset required to achieve exceptional success in any field or endeavour, personal or professional.
If you’d like to be in with a chance of winning this book signed by Bob Parker, visit Bob’s Facebook page and tell us what book has helped you most with your business and why. Our two favourite recommendations will receive a signed copy of ‘Think and Grow Rich’.
For more incredible book recommendations, take a listen to our latest podcast here with Barry the Book from Knowledge is King, who is so incredibly knowledgeable on the books network marketers should be reading! He even makes a recommendation in this podcast for what to read if you’re brand new to the industry, so be sure to give it a listen!
